HISTORY - Meteor Creative

Founded in 1979, Meteor Creative, has been in the business of designing, engineering, and producing the finest extrusion and injection molding systems in the market today. All made in the United States at its Dayton, OH area facilities, occupying 278,000 square feet with nearly 300 dedicated employees. Meteor Creative has engineering and sales staff located in the greater Detroit, Michigan area.

Founded in 1979, Creative was founded as a turnkey extrusion tooling manufacturer.
In 1981, Creative began producing parts for an automotive OEM fixed glass application and has been producing parts for this market since then.
In 1985, Creative commenced producing appliance parts.
In 1994, Creative entered the automotive replacement glass molding market.
In 1996, Creative started manufacturing rub rail systems for the marine marketplace.
In 1997, Creative earned its QS9000 quality certification. Creative is currently certified to ISO 9001:2015 quality standard.
In 2010, Creative launched its injection molded product offering.
In 2016, expanded its capabilities by adding EPDM extrusion.
In 2017, Creative was acquired by a private equity, Quilvest.
In 2018, Creative added on to its EPDM extrusion capabilities with EPDM insert molding ability.
In 2019, Creative acquired an injection molding company.
In 2021, Creative has been acquired by the German sealing manufacturer Meteor Group GmbH.
